Communication channels

The Victoria Regional Riding Association uses several software applications to communicate. They are listed below.

Signal

Signal is used for informal messaging. New signal group chats are created as needed for new events and projects. For example, if the team is organising a picnic get together with volunteers, a new chat will be created, organisers volunteers, and attendees will be invited, and informal discussions related to the picnic will occur in the new chat. of the picnic will be disc in the new chat.

Slack

Slack is primarily used for cross-party communication. If members of the Victoria Regional Riding Association need to communicate with members of other Riding Associations or with staff who are not in signal groups, then the slack channels should be used.

Email

These email addresses are intended for public-facing communication as well as inner-party use. They can be found below:

All Executive members will be part of this group, which means any message sent to the group email address will be forwarded to each member's personal email Members personal emails are located in the google drive. The email you provide for the email group should be the email you check/use most often! Not only will it receive Green and RA related communications, but it will also be the email used to access the Shared Google Drives and Resources, including your RAs Drive. Wiki

The BC Greens Victoria RRA wiki is used to share, collaborate, build collective a knowledge base to help with accomplishing the goals set by the Victoria Regional Riding Association Agreement 2026. This wiki will aim to be the single source of truth for our shared knowledge. The wiki is public-facing and does not contain any private or sensitive information.

If it is public information or general knowledge, publish it in the Wiki.

Google Drive

The Victoria RRA Google drive is a secure, password-protected repositary that contains sensitive files. The drive is also used by representatives of the BC Green Party (Such as the field team) to disseminate information to the Victoria RRA. Access to the drive is restricted to authorized members. When transferring information from the Google Drive to the the wiki, users should not copy/paste content directly from the drive. Instead, users should describe the content of a file in the drive, and then use the Cite/Reference feature to create a citation that links back to the drive. This way, members with permission can still access the original contents in the drive, while ensuring that content remains secure behind the drive's privacy features.
