The Victoria Regional Riding Association Agreement 2026 is an agreement that was signed by the members of the Victoria RRA Executive Board in May 2026. The agreement certifies the elected Executive Members of the Victoria RRA as an official branch of the BC Green Party. The agreement also lays out the roles and responsibilities of the Victoria RRA. Functions of the Victoria RRA

The agreement presents that the Victoria RRA exists to work towards electing Green MLA(s) in the Victoria region by building election-readiness capacity. To do this, the agreement defines the following functions:

  • Identifying Green Voters and Supporters
  • Recruiting, Managing, and Engaging Volunteers
  • Fostering a Green Community
  • Community Outreach and Involvement
  • Advocating on Topics of Local Importance
  • Raising Local Funds
  • Identifying and Supporting Prospective Candidates

Conduct outlined in the agreement

The agreement also requires that all members of the RRA are committed to the conduct outlined by the BC Green Party which includes operating in a manner consisted with the Six Core Green Principle. As well as compliance with the BC Green Party's Constitution and Bylaws, Code of Ethics, Safe Spaces Guide, Privacy Policy, and Privacy and Security Agreement.

Key deliverables of the RRA

The agreement defines the key deliverables that the Victoria RRA is responsible for in order to build election-readiness. These deliverables will ensire that structures are in place to support the BC Greens campaign. They are as follows:

  • Facilitate MLA candidate selection: Identify potential candidates and hold nomination events.
  • Secure financial resources for the candidate (or candidates)’s campaign(s).
  • Grow and train the local volunteer base.
  • Increase Green supporters and voters identified in GVote (or equivalent software).
  • Identify local organizations and community leaders in the riding or region.
  • Build supporter connections and advocate on local issues via outreach and engagement activities.
