A Riding Association (RA) is a local volunteer branch of the BC Green Party that represents an Electoral District (also known as a riding).[1] Riding Associations are internal volunteer structures of the BC Green Party. They are NOT Constituency Associations as defined by Elections BC, though they can serve similar functions.
Regional Riding Associations (RRAs), are a similar to RAs in that they consist of a local volunteer team of the BC Green Party recognized by Provincial Council as the official local branch of the BC Green Party. However, unlike RAs which represent a single electoral district, RRAs represent more than one multiple Electoral Districts that make up a “Region”.
(R)RA Executive Board
[edit | edit source]RAs and RRAs consist of Executive Board, which is a team of 4-11 volunteers. Any member of an RA can be voted to be on the Executive Board through an election process by members of the BC Green party who are located in the RAs Electoral District.
